Campos was originally indicted with a number of different charges, including illegal gambling, conspiracy and wire fraud. Rather than face a slew of felony charges, he was able to get off on a single misdemeanor charge: conspiracy.

Campos and Chad Elie were both trying to fight the charges, even after the other Black Friday defendants had already accepted plea bargains themselves. Elie also had a change of heart and the plea bargain likely means that he won’t spend more than a year in prison.

Campos will now need to allocate in court and wait for sentencing. Kaplan has scheduled the sentencing hearing for Oct. 3.
