Welcome to Cheshire Cat, a free to play slots game with just as many tricks as the iconic character from Alice in Wonderland. This online slots game from WMS Software offers a whopping four different arrays, so you’ll have to be on your toes in this game. With crisp, excellently rendered graphics and several different wilds and bonuses, the Cheshire Cat slot game is ideal for anyone that likes to play online slots.
How to Begin Cheshire Cat
Although a trickster, the grinning Cheshire Cat is the focus of the game, fans of Alice in Wonderland will recognize many of the higher value symbols, like the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, the potion and slice of cake Alice eats and drinks, and of course Alice herself. Lower value symbols are the higher cards from the Vegas desk. This is a 5-reel, 4-row slots game with 40 fixed paylines. However, players have the opportunity to increase their odds of winning each spin by engaging multiple arrays of slots – four different ones in total.
To begin, find the control panel, which allows adjusting of the bet per line, the spin-start arrow, and the automatic spins feature (it’s important to note that some locations don’t allow automatic spins, so if this doesn’t work for you, your location may be one of these). The Chesire Cat logo is the Wild symbol and replaces any icon to form winning combinations. Wild replaces everything except the BONUS, which is a rainbow.
The base game is pretty straightforward, and, aside from the perky, haunting music and great graphics, is kinda simple. However, the tricks come when the Cheshire Cat appears and the free spins and bonuses start popping.
Bonus Rounds in Cheshire Cat
Just like the craziness of the cat in the book and movie, Cheshire Cat slots also has some crazy bonus features.
The Super Stacked feature improves your odds of winning. It’s a random selection of one symbol – so you never know which one will be the stacked wild. It could be the Caterpiller with his Hookah, the Mad Hatter, or Alice – the game changes each time. I thought this was interesting, especially since you may get a different stacked wild each time, and you don’t know until you win.
The Free Spins feature is great, too. To trigger this, at least three of the Scatter Wilds (the rainbow icon) have to land anywhere on the reels. They don’t have to be adjacent, just three total.
There’s another bonus feature, the Wheel of Fortune. Three of these that appear anywhere on the reels will win you five “freebies” or free spins. If you get a fourth wheel, then you’ll get 10 free spins. If you’re lucky enough to get 4 wheels AND 5 scatter wilds (rainbows), you get a whopping 20 free spins. This hasn’t happened to me yet – but I have hope!
Before the free spins rounds trigger, a side game opens up. This is a mini version of Wheel of Fortune, where you play to determine how many of the reel sets (up to four) are active during the Free Spins round. Once you’ve received the prize, the free spins will start on all awarded reels.
Unlike many other slots games, in Cheshire, Cat, you won’t have an opportunity to re-trigger your Free Spins. Once they’re done, you’re done. However, there is a Bonus Guarantee, where you’re guaranteed to win at least 10x your wager during the free spins round.
Playing Cheshire Cat for Money
Right now, only Pennsylvania and New Jersey casino apps offer Cheshire Cat (and other online slots) with real money wagers. If you’re looking for a land-based casino, many of those that have WMS slot machines may have Cheshire Cat.
I really enjoyed the graphics of Cheshire Cat slot machine and the challenge of the multiple arrays. I’m a big fan of Alice in Wonderland, so it was neat to see favorite characters here. However, I wouldn’t recommend this game out of the gate for beginners, simply because the bonus features can get a little crazy. But if you’re playing for free, it’s a good progressive game to gain experience. Veteran slots players might enjoy having extra reels for bonus spins – that was my favorite aspect – instead of repeatedly re-triggering free spins on just the one reel. All in all, this was a great game!
